The British flower industry is really starting to go places, but there are challenges that we as growers face and you as florists face in matching supply and demand. This page is to help you to understand where I’m at in terms of supplying florists.
My growing site at Frank’s Farm, Elsworth (CB23 4EY) is relatively small at just under 1/2 acre. In the peak of the season I harvest around 1,200 stems a week. The reality is that this isn’t enough to be able to offer volume of every colour all of the time and so I do sometimes struggle to have what a florist might needed for a large scale event.
I have made a choice to not offer flowers for wholesale in large quantity.
However, I do offer the following;
- Wholesale priced flowers to floristry students
- Heavily discounted flowers nearing the end of their life (just a couple of days left in them) for practice or photo shoots
- Small quantities of mixed buckets of flowers to florists
- Florist PYO most mornings except Mon/Tues
- FREE access to the flower field to look around. I’m generally around in the mornings Weds-Sun. but not always. Please call first to avoid disappointment
I do not offer delivery; flowers can be collected either from Frank’s Farm flower field or my home workshop in Sawston CB22 3DQ.
There is no minimum spend or minimum order quantity, and no VAT payable.
