This workshop will cover everything you need to help you to plan and grow your own wedding flowers and harvest them at exactly the right time. We’ll talk about;
- Possible flower varieties to choose
- Planning and timings to get the flowers you need at the right time
- Making use of what you already have – perennials and shrubs for cutting
- How to grow good, usable cut flowers with long, strong stems
- Harvesting flowers and post-harvest care
- A demo on arranging a bridal bouquet (note this workshop’s focus is on growing flowers, but it’s helpful to see a bouquet being made; there is a separate workshop on arranging wedding flowers)
- Other ideas for simple flower arrangements

Grow your own wedding flowers – Bespoke consulting service
Tailored specifically to you and your wedding, this service will help you to plan exactly what you’re going to grow for your wedding flowers. We’ll work out how much space you have, what flowers you’d like to have, what you might have already that you can use, how many stems you’ll need and work through all of the timings to ensure you have the right flowers ready for the big day.
Included in the price is an initial 2 hour consultation, a follow-up which will include a list of suggested flowers to grow and help with sourcing seeds / plants if needed plus another 2 hours of support to help you with any practical issues as your flowers begin to grow.
The cost for this service is £75.
Grow your own wedding flowers – confidence building, support or trouble-shooting – pay as you go service

- Do you just have a few questions that you need some help with?
I am now offering a bespoke ‘pay as you go’ service to help you out if you need it. I charge £18 for each hour of my time, which can be broken down into £6 per 20 mins if it’s a quick question. We can cover anything you want, from which varieties are good to grow, what foliage you could use, how much space you need, how to get your timings right, how to deal with a problem such as poor growth or needing to slow something down etc.
