Visitors & volunteers

I am often asked about visiting and volunteering at the Flower Farm. For Pick your Own flowers please see the separate page here

The growing field is located at Frank’s Farm, Elsworth, CB23 4EY. Please note the Nature’s Posy main address in Sawston is my workshop and base for deliveries/collection so there are no flowers to see here!

Frank’s Farm is closed on a Monday and Tuesday, so please don’t visit on these days. I am usually around from Weds – Sun in the mornings. However, there may be days when I am not there or not available, so if you particualry want to speak to me or pick flowers then please check first to avoid disappointment.

There is plenty of parking, and a cafe on site for loos/refreshments.

Group visits

If you are part of a gardening club, flower arranging group or other group and would like to bring a number of people for a look around I do run organised visits in the afternoons. Tours are available at a small charge of £30 per group and will last around one hour. Teas/coffee etc can be available from the cafe at an additional charge. Please contact me for more details.

You are welcome to wander around as a group without the tour for free.

Individual visits

You are welcome to wander around by yourself, providing the flower field is open (i.e. I am there working) for free. However, if you want to ask questions / learn about flower farming etc then please book an appointment for a tour. These are charged at £40 and will last around an hour.

Volunteering

If you’d like to volunteer on the farm then you are very welcome to. It is hard work, but it is also an opportunity to get outside in the fresh air with all of the associated mental health benefits. You will also learn lots about growing flowers! I ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of 4 sessions per year, which will be at least 2 hours each session, typically during a morning.

The work typically involves weeding, planting, pruning or dead-heading flowers and watering.

Please contact me if you’re interested.
